Pros
I guess the free lunches? If you don’t mind eating the same thing over and over and over.
Cons
I was sought out by Sweetgreen and put through more rounds of interviews than any other job. Before I started my reporting manager changed 3 times. That should have been a red flag. Later - one of these reporting managers laughed about how “low” they got me in the door and how I should have been offered more options but they bamboozled me. It was early in my career and I didn’t know what I could/should be asking for. But real classy move rubbing it in my face later.
I echo another post I saw on here regarding how bizarre it is to be forced to do boot camp and how it felt like weird hazing.
I had a physical injury that prevented me from being on my feet for 8 hours. 2 of the actual nice coworkers I met there assured me it isn’t a big deal, etc. and I would be fine… Joke was on me, when I arrived for “boot camp” I was like the coach’s punching bag for anything corporate had done to ever upset her. I left in tears that night and refused to ever go back. I was ready to quit the job. Should’ve been another red flag.
The company was understaffed in critical departments but had no shortage of over hyped influencers meandering around. Never in my entire career have I worked somewhere where people are judged so much on their looks and follower count and not on their work ethic or experience. It was almost laughable if it wasn’t my reality.
The mean girl office mentality made it impossible to feel included or really apart of anything. Super isolating and just bad.
By far the most toxic place I ever worked.
