Pros
To be honest, I haven't found any significant pros in this company. The only positive aspect is the salary structure, which offers good options for saving tax.
Cons
Yellow.ai is full of cons. While the space may not suffice to list them all, I'll outline the key issues: 1. **Deceptive Hiring Practices:** The hiring team often misleads candidates about their roles. I experienced this firsthand during my interview process and later noticed it happening to other candidates as well. Despite undergoing five rounds of technical interviews focused on Node.js and being assured I would be developing chatbots, I ended up doing drag-and-drop tasks. Although I was hired as a Software Engineer, my actual work was more akin to Solution Engineering. This pattern continued when we interviewed new candidates, as they were promised extensive exposure to various tech stacks but ended up performing basic drag-and-drop tasks. Arrogant Product Team: The product team has an attitude of superiority, believing they are the only ones capable of building the system. They view others as mere hires with no significant contributions. False Promises to Clients: Clients are given unrealistic promises about the platform's capabilities, often committing to deliver features and functionalities that the platform cannot support. I've encountered multiple managers and directors in my team, and they were all equally useless. Both managers and directors often resort to threats of termination if employees don't work 15-hour days. Additionally, the Indonesian team, which includes a few Indians, is required to start work at 7:30 AM and continue until 9:30-10:00 PM. Employees are required to follow the Indonesian calendar and do not receive Indian holidays. During Indonesia's long week of holidays for Ramadan in April, employees are asked to work instead of being given time off, under the threat of termination.
