Interviewed with recruiter -> hiring manager -> team lead -> team members. All general questions, no hands-on technical take home assignments, which I wish would have happened so I could show my skills instead of trying to describe confidential work for my current employer in vague terms. One red flag was a senior level leader who was clearly doing other work, attending to things on their phone, and generally not at all present during the interview. The other senior level leaders I spoke with was super engaged and great to talk with.

Question 1
Lots of questions around AI. However, aside from those directly working on technical topics, there seemed to be some unrealistic expectations and vague vision about the use cases for AI (felt more like they were trying to jump on the hype bandwagon vs. having an AI strategy grounded in reality).
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at 3Degrees (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2024
Interview
There were 2 rounds of interviews, one with a recruiter which was recorded responses and then one with the hiring manager. Both very kind and reasonable questions, the one with the recruiter was tough because the questions were non specific and repetitive

Please explain your understanding of carbon credits and carbon markets
I’m particularly interested in opportunities related to portfolio management, renewable energy certificates (RECs), and commodities trading. The overall recruitment process was efficient and well-organised, and I found the recruiter to be professional, responsive, and easy to communicate with.
