I applied by the recruiter and I got Phone interview with HR, 2 face to face interviews with hiring manager, Nice people, friendly but ask question in detail by using examples. Canadian experience is very important, any one who knows you in ABB is very useful.
Application, then screening with recruiter, then phone call with hiring manager than onsite visit. After the visit, I received a verbal offer a few days later, shortly followed by the written.

Online interview via Hirevue. 15 mintues with four questions. 20 seconds to prepare and 3 minutes to answer. "Why this position? Most recent professional experience? Etc." No need to prepare just answer honestly.

I received an email from a recruiter who thought my skills would help me with the position through email. She double checked some information from my resume and then conducted a phone interview with my hiring manager within a week.
