Interview process felt misaligned with the role as presented. It seemed the company was prioritizing candidates who already bring an existing book of business or strong established customer relationships, rather than focusing on long-term fit and development. For professionals already succeeding in their current positions, that may make the opportunity less compelling.
My experience in the interview felt like a poor use of time, as expectations around the role were not clearly communicated upfront. It also gave the impression that leadership is under strong pressure to generate new revenue quickly, likely tied to private equity ownership. Based on industry feedback, turnover may be higher than average, with a focus on rapid hiring and performance-based exits.
Smooth layed back not very welcoming the interviewer was very nice she also gave me a walk around tour of the shop and described what the standard work day would be like

Two interviews, one with HR, one with controller. Weird questions, long interview. Interview for an accounting clerk but seemed like for a CEO. I didn't like the questions that they asked.
