I recently interviewed for the position of Localization Project Manager. The pre-interview process with HR was quite smooth and fast - I was sent a test assignment, which was reviewed quickly, and we agreed on an interview date shortly after.
The interview itself lasted two hours and included another test. I wouldnât say it was particularly difficult. Everyone was friendly. I left the interview with a positive feeling. Overall, I had no issues with the interview process or communication up to that point.
However, my experience with the HR team afterward was really disappointing. I had requested a response by the end of the week, which HR also confirmed as the timeline. Unfortunately, the response was delayed twice - first because managers were on vacation, and then because HR didnât receive timely feedback. I finally received a response on December 31, just before the New Year, informing me that I was rejected due to financial considerations.
When I asked for clarification on what budget they could offer, I never received an answer, even though almost a month has passed since then. This lack of communication and professionalism really tarnished my impression of the companyâs processes. It would have been much more helpful to receive honest feedback rather than a generic response like, âWe really liked you, but we have to decline.â
