I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AKUNA CAPITAL (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2011
Interview
I was called by HR and had a 10 minutes chat with her. Then I was interviewed by a trader for about 15 minutes. Questions are mostly behavioral like why trading, why market making. They I was invited to an office visit and I had to pay myself the flight and hotels. In their office, I did a paper and pen test including a mental math test, sequence test and market sense test. Their test is very informal in which I found a couple of typos. Finally I was interviewed by their CEO and head of trading and again it was very informal. After that, I was invited to sit with their head of trading in trading floor and watch him trading. Then I waited more than a month before I heard back the decision of the interview. Overall, people in this firm were nice but they really need to improve their interview process.
The interview process consists of an online assessment, phone screen, phone interview, and final interview. The phone screen was with a recruiter, the phone interview was with a trader, and the final interview was with a trader.

Interview
Did the Options 201 course. It consisted of math and options questions. Top performers of the course move on to a behavioral interview. Very standard behavioral questions like "why trading" / "why Akuna".
Good. some questions are hard but others are easy, the pace is good. overall it's average. I didnt pass. I've no idea why. But I think the interview process is fair.
