The interview process consists of an online assessment, phone screen, phone interview, and final interview. The phone screen was with a recruiter, the phone interview was with a trader, and the final interview was with a trader.
Difficult interview
Application
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AKUNA CAPITAL in Apr 2018
Interview
Reached the Superday but was not picked
1. Mental Math test
2. Personality Test
3. Webcam Interview
4. Phone Interview
5. Superday in-person
trying to fill 30 word minimum requirment... I gave a thorough overview of questions I got asked below.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Mental Math test
- I practiced on https://rankyourbrain.com and zetamac
2. Personality Test
3. Webcam Interview
- 4 questions. 2 were behavioral (why trading, why you, or something along these lines). 1 probability question involving Bayes theorem. Some people already posted the question on glassdoor. 1. list of mental math questions with things like: two thousand one hundred two plus twenty two times five. DO NOT FREAK OUT. I only responded to a few and went to the next round. BE CONFIDENT.
4. Phone conversation. Mostly consist of Brainteasers that are common in textbooks, and maybe 1 mental math questions. You can find some of the questions on glassdoor too.
5. Superday is hectic. 4 market making games (dice games, etc.) You just need to be quick and make sense. Even if you have no experience with these games don't be shy and try your best. The other interviews are a mix of behavioral, mental math, and brainteasers. Nothing too bad if you prepare.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AKUNA CAPITAL (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Did the Options 201 course. It consisted of math and options questions. Top performers of the course move on to a behavioral interview. Very standard behavioral questions like "why trading" / "why Akuna".
Good. some questions are hard but others are easy, the pace is good. overall it's average. I didnt pass. I've no idea why. But I think the interview process is fair.
