Difficult interview
Application
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at AKUNA CAPITAL (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2014
Interview
First round they sent an online math and pattern recognition test. They also sent a personality questionnaire to see how risk averse or risk seeking you are. After that was a phone interview with one of their senior traders covering basic personal questions (background, etc.), basic options knowledge and some trickier logic problems.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You have 50 white marbles and 50 black marbles, you are going to place these marbles into two buckets however you would like. Then you are going to randomly select a marble from one of the two buckets. How can you stack the odds so you pull out a black marble?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AKUNA CAPITAL (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Did the Options 201 course. It consisted of math and options questions. Top performers of the course move on to a behavioral interview. Very standard behavioral questions like "why trading" / "why Akuna".
Good. some questions are hard but others are easy, the pace is good. overall it's average. I didnt pass. I've no idea why. But I think the interview process is fair.
