I initially applied for a different role months earlier before being contacted by a couple of members from the Talent Acquisition team. One of them inquired if I was interested in a Senior DevOps position, for which I was invited to an onsite interview. The interview lasted over 90 minutes. After a brief introduction, I was asked to write some Python code in front of the hiring manager. While I was permitted to use the internet (excluding ChatGPT), it became apparent that the hiring manager had not reviewed my CV beforehand. Consequently, aside from the coding task, none of my other skills or experiences were assessed or deemed relevant. Although the coding challenge itself wasn't particularly difficult, the conditions were less than ideal. I had to use an unfamiliar laptop and sit in an uncomfortable chair. Additionally, no water was offered, and the hiring manager observed my screen via a large display in the conference room, which added to the pressure.
