      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AR Marketing (Dublin, OH) in Sept 2014

      Interview

My initial impression of the company was a little off... When I went to their website it looked really great but it was done with Wix. There is nothing wrong with a Wix website but a company must spend the less than $100 to remove the Wix ads from the pages. Also, some of their links did not work. I learned that this was a fairly new company so I went ahead and applied anyway. My first interview was very professional but they did make me wait until 45 minute after my scheduled appointment. I understand executives are busy but it is unprofessional to take advantage of someone's time. If I were to be 45 minutes late to the interview I am sure it would not be appreciated. 10-15 minutes off schedule is understandable. I was asked to do a second interview. I arrived early and this time the interviewer was very prompt. He escorted me out of the building and said we were going to Panera down the street and proceeded to follow me to my car. When he asked if it was my vehicle I should have stopped this interview right then. But I was curious (this could have ended terribly, thankfully it didn't). We went to Panera and sat down at a table. Neither one of us ordered anything so they are using a Panera as an office without patronizing it. The interviewer then explained to me their pyramid-eque promotion plan and after 20 minutes he finally came out and said they sell utility services door to door. I stopped him right there and said I could not waste any more of his time. Then I drove him back to the real office building. Overall everyone was very nice but the way they are doing their interviews are scary. Do not ever do what I did. Do not ever let a person you do not know in your personal vehicle. That should have been enough for me but I wanted to hear him out.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at AR Marketing in Jul 2014

      Interview

I would like to open by saying I never went through the interview process, but I did speak with a human resources employee on the phone. Based on the other review here I asked her flat out several times if this was a sales position. She evaded the question each time by telling me that they were looking for a motivated and driven person and asking me if I was a motivated person. As someone with a bachelors in communication I can tell you immediately that she was trying to shift the frame to me proving myself to her. This is a sales trick that I caution future applicants to be aware of. When I asked for details about the job she did the same frame switching telling me that they were looking for motivated and driven people and then asking me if I fit those requirements while not telling me any details about the position other than it involved "customer service." Overall based on the fact that HR acted evasively I would not recommend applying here unless you want a sales position. Because this is not what I want and also because I do not wish to work for a company that uses these types of hiring tactics, I chose to decline the interview. I would recommend that anyone applying there at least be conscious of these tactics, and come in with a clear understanding of what you will or will not settle for.
