I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AWAK Technologies (Singapore) in Jun 2023
Interview
Highly technical, with some fundamental theoretical questions asked. A design problem was given and I was asked to sketch out possible solutions. I went through 2 or 3 rounds of interviews and failed at the last round.
The CEO seemed extremely unhappy the second I mentioned not wanting to work for a company where working OT was the norm, and promptly dropped out of the interview (he was dialing in). I was very excited for the job opportunity here and the engineer and engineering manager I met with were honestly inspiring and I would've been so excited to work with them. I'm sure I would've learned loads, but the philosophy of top management did not match my values.
If you're willing to OT all the time and possibly handle a toxic top management (I say this from my one interaction with him, so take it with a pinch of salt), then this seems like a fantastic place to gain valuable skills as an engineer.
