      Senior Learning Specialist Interview

      23 Apr 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Nashville, TN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at AYTM (Nashville, TN) in Apr 2026

      Interview

I went through four rounds of interviews, including a final conversation with the CEO. Throughout the first three stages, I consistently received positive feedback and was given the impression that my background and experience aligned well with the role. However, the final interview with the CEO introduced a very different style of evaluation than what had been communicated. The hiring manager had indicated the conversation would focus on company core values, but it instead included abstract thought experiments and technical questions without prior preparation. I was also evaluated on my familiarity with the company’s platform, which is not accessible to external candidates, making it difficult to prepare or be assessed on a level playing field. Additionally, I was told I would hear back “very soon” after the final interview, but ultimately had to follow up a week later to receive a decision. Overall, the experience felt misaligned across stages, with shifting expectations and limited transparency about how candidates were being evaluated. I would encourage the company to better align interview structure and criteria across interviewers, and to set clearer expectations with candidates—especially in final-stage conversations.

We want to acknowledge and apologize for the experience you described during your interview process for our Senior Learning Specialist role. We take your feedback seriously and you deserve transparency. aytm receives an overwhelming response to the positions we post, which makes us feel both humble and proud that so many talented individuals like you want to join our team. That volume makes for an extremely competitive selection process, and it means we have a responsibility to show up consistently and respectfully at every stage. It is clear we fell short of that in your experience, and we are sorry. Candidates should never feel left in the dark about where they stand or what to expect, especially after four rounds of interviews. That is not reflective of the heart of our company or the culture we work hard to cultivate here at aytm. We will learn from this and work to improve our process. We wish you every success. We are all human here, and we appreciate you taking the time to help us grow.
