The job interview was via a recruitment agency, though the function was for a direct contract with Accucoms.
The first job interview was with my direct manager and was very much conversational in a get-to-know-you atmosphere. The manager also took the opportunity to explain the work and work environment.
The second interview was with the same manager, and also with the inside sales representative that I was replacing. First it was only with the manager, later the inside sales manager came along, more to listen and to give his own input/advice. With the latter I later went to their office space as they wanted to perform a call to showcase to me how the work goes. I remember that the second interview with the manager was also more in a conversational style like in the first, though more seriously aimed towards the role.
I was later called by the recruitment agency to let me know that I received the job. The contact person that referred me came around a month later to the office to have a talk with me about the process and how I would rate the agency’s work.
Note: The company had many changes throughout the time I worked there and beyond, so there is a possibility that they might have changed the job interview process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
It started off in a ‘Tell me about yourself’ style and went in a conversational direction. I felt that I could very much be myself while also having the time to highlight my background. There is also enough room in asking questions and about the work environment as well. In the second interview I would advise to show your interest, be engaged, and relate to their understanding.
