Typically, a candidate's background, experience, position being considered for, and stage of interview process will dictate the interviewers questions in each session. We have a session built into our engineering onsite interview day that covers a deep dive of of the candidate's resume and past experiences, so at times it may not be necessary to ask those questions during the initial phone conversation.
