Spoke on the phone with a woman and a man, both with thick Southern accents. The program and salary were both described- you'd study with other students for several weeks, and after passing Exam P, the agency would try to find you a job with an actuarial firm, with pay scaled based on your exam score. However, and this issue was danced around for as long as they could, they expected you to pay upwards of $400 to enroll in their class while you were still on the phone with them. The interviewer showed me a list of ~50 students enrolled in the class already, and made sure to tell me about strong other candidates this was being offered to, trying to get me to send them the money right then and there. This was where I drew the line- things felt far too fishy, I did not send the money within the day that they asked, and that was the last I heard from them.
