I completed a phone call screener with HR, a 1-hr Zoom interview with two team members, and then a final round 1-hr in-person panel interview with 5 people. Everyone seemed nice and talked a big game about loving the work they do and treating each other well. I was told I would receive a yes/no within the next couple of weeks.
After nearly 3 weeks had passed, I sent a polite follow-up email to the team members who had interviewed me on Zoom, asking when I could expect an update. No response. A week later, I sent a polite follow-up email to the HR rep who had done the phone screening, asking the same question. No response.
They will be polite to your face, but at the end of the day, they do not treat candidates like human beings who are deserving of the bare minimum of courtesies. It would have taken approximately 2 minutes to reply to my email and let me know they'd gone in a different direction, but none of them could be bothered to do that basic courtesy. Frankly, I feel like I dodged a bullet; if that's how they treat candidates, imagine how they'll treat you once you're dependent on them for a paycheck.
