I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Alion (Annapolis Junction, MD) in Mar 2018
Interview
The interview process was straightforward. Met with a few team leads and project managers. The were very welcoming throughout the whole interview process. Definitely one of the more thorough interviews I have been on.

Interview
A recruiter from Latitude Inc. found my resume on Dice and emailed me to schedule a virtual interview. There was also a basic phone screening.
The interview was with a manager and a senior developer. They started off by introducing themselves and then had me introduce myself and briefly talk about my experience as a developer. Then they asked me some technical questions. They said that I can say if I don't know something and to please not Google the answer during the interview (apparently that has happened before?). A lot of them were fairly basic syntax questions so overall not too bad. After that, there were some behavioral questions that were mostly about what I do in my current position.
The interviewers were very friendly and seemed pretty excited about the company and the work that they do. I should also note that they didn't turn on their cameras in the meeting. It is not clear if I was expected to have mine on but I did anyway. The interview, not counting any questions I had for them, only lasted around 20 minutes. They said not to worry that it was short and that I did great. Not all my answers were perfect but I felt pretty good about it overall.
The recruiter contacted me the following week saying they wanted to extend an offer. They didn't give a strict time limit but the recruiter said he would like to let them know by the end of the next week. In the end, I ended up declining mainly because it was a contract-to-hire position and I decided I didn't really like the idea of that. Note that it is possible that the fact that it was a contract-to-hire position may have made the interview easier.

Interview
Met recruiter at college career fair. Received phone interview request shortly after. Phone interview lasted for about 30 minutes and was mostly about my resume and hearing what the company had to offer.
