Interview
While sitting in the lobby speaking with the manager a guy walked in stating he was a little late due to lunch traffic and his interview was at 1pm. The manager then launched into a lecture about how the employees should be there exactly on time or he would give the day or the rest of the week off. The latter part of the interview was filling out forms on a cellphone that had top be connected to their wifi or we would get kicked out of the system.

Interview
I applied on indeed and immediately received an email asking me to come in to their office during regular business hours to fill out an application. The email asked me to bring my social security card and drivers license to "speed up the hiring process" and to set aside one hour for the process. When I showed up I was shown to an office and a huge stack of paperwork was set down in front of me. They scanned my DL and SSC and I spent the next two hours filling out every single form imaginable; including employment eligibility forms, W-4, I-9, policies and procedures, you name it. When I finished one of the office managers asked me to watch a set of training videos which took at least another hour. When I was finished with that she called me to her desk and asked when I could start. There was no interview, there was no drug test, she told me to show up the next day in uniform at 7am and that was that. I had to call later to find out exactly what I had been hired for and how much I would be paid. This was by far the most unprofessional and disorganized job interview I have ever been to. If I hadn't been offered the position I would have been very sketched out by the fact that they require your private personal information up front with little to no explanation of anything.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at All My Sons Moving & Storage (Chicago, IL) in May 2016
Interview
Phone screen followed by an in person interview and background check. The company was not ready for me when I arrived. The interviewer was not friendly, rude in fact. The interview was short and I received an offer, but I declined because the people I interacted with at the company were disorganized and unfriendly. In addition, the pay was lower than competitors' offers. The recruiter said I would make it up in tips, but I was not sold.
