Straight forward interview process. It felt like they had more interest in whether I'd fit in with the team more than my skills and experience. 90% of the time in both stages of the interview it was the interviewer talking about Allied Pickfords, and what they do and what the role entails. The interviewer appeared to have little interest in my experience for the role, just a quick look over my resume and asked a couple of basic questions about it. This was one of the easiest interviews I've ever attended. There were no demanding questions about experience, there was no need to justify knowledge for the role or anything. No questions about "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" or any of those tragically stereotypical questions. An unusual thing happened during second interview, the interviewer informed me that the position is no longer as advertised, that it's not an "IT project manager" role, they've renamed it to some type of service role, however keeping all the same responsibilities. No real clarification on why that occurred, but it's definitely not normal. Unfortunately the down side in the process was that there was no follow up communication. Was told that the I will find out the outcome the next week on a Monday. I followed up with a phone call on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, both of which went to voice mail where I asked if the interviewer can get back to me on the outcome. I don't mind not getting the position, but when you have 3 candidates in the hiring process the company should really pick up the phone or at the very least shoot an email about the outcome. This is the first time a company has never gotten back to me on the outcome of an interview this far progressed, and it leaves an unnecessarily bitter taste in what otherwise seems to be a great place to work.
