Ally has chosen to do one way interviews for screening out candidates. I was sent a Modern Hire link by a recruiter to record my responses to six questions, giving me two chances to re-record if necessary, and that was then sent off to the recruiter to view at their leisure. After three weeks of no update, I have to assume they went in a different direction. Not once did I interact with another human being. To ask a candidate to devote 30-45 minutes to awkwardly record themselves, not communicate with them at any point, and then screen them out of the process is as impersonal as it gets. I expected more from a company like Ally.
