I applied through other source. I interviewed at Allye Energy (London, England) in Jun 2024
Interview
Few stages and more interested in experiences more than technical tests. It was very relaxed and I felt comfortable, two of the companies higher level staff lead the interview and it took around 30-45 minutes.

Question 1
- Have you had experience on a Raspberry Pi if so what?
- Can you be flexible with work sometimes working longer hours
Informal call with the CEO
Clearly very passionate about his business but it seemed his frustrations with how things were at the company seeped through into the interview.
He had a clear pre-assumption about me before meeting, mostly talked and didn't ask many relevant questions, showed little self awareness of how he was portraying the company he was running.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Allye Energy (London, England) in Aug 2025
Interview
Phone call about skills and experiences, then online video interview followed by interview at site. In online interview asked tell me about yourself, why are you a good fit for this role and where do you see yourself in 5 years time.

Question 1
Not many questions asked. More listening than speaking.
Stated they want someone who can improve and contribute mechanical solutions to improve concepts. They are a start up so there is a lot of pressure and team noise.
Didn't state they are looking for someone to contribute mechanical ideas and solutions during your first phone call, or in the job spec. Not interested at all when talking about lithium batteries.
