      Purchasing/Buyer Interview

      17 Jun 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Englewood, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Altivera Medical (Englewood, CO) in Jun 2019

      Interview

Here are the facts: I applied via ZipRecruiter and received an invitation for a "pre-interview session" at their office in Englewood, CO. I scheduled a time for the following week and spent over 3 hours total traveling and executing the pre-screening test on-site. I arrived, signed in, and waited for the test administrator. I was brought back into another room where others were taking their pre-screening tests. Once the administrator explained how to use the tablet, I was given a calculator, scratch paper, a form to fill out (name, personal information, position, salary expectation, etc), and 40 minutes to complete everything. The questions were given on Survey Monkey software and consisted of the following: Numbers in a sequence, true/false/uncertain questions, data table with questions (averages, ratios, differences, etc), graph with questions (higher/lower, same amount, etc), read the article and answer questions, logic/judgment questions, and more. (Examples of questions can be found with this review) I finished the test in about 38 minutes and the administrator came to take my completed form. She also mentioned sending a copy of my resume to their email since I didn't bring a physical copy. (Was never notified I needed to bring a physical copy) I arrived home and sent thank you emails+resumes to the recruiter I had been working with and the corporate recruiting email. Two days later, I received a notice from the recruiter they wanted to schedule a 2nd interview in-person with the production manager. I was only given one date and time, so I agreed and made plans to be on-site for the interview the following week. Less than 24 hours before my scheduled interview, the recruiter reached out to cancel the appointment because they "just identified a different individual for this role" and "did not [want to] make you come in a second time if the position has been filled." Here is my opinion: It is highly unprofessional to cancel a scheduled appointment (especially an interview) with less than 24 hours notice. This has *never* happened to me in all my years in the corporate world. Any company that has an interview process like this one is not a company worthy of my talent.

We appreciate the time you have taken to write a detailed review regarding our interview process. We apologize that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. Here at Zynex Medical, we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and we use these reviews and experiences to better our recruiting process for the future. We are impressed with your attention to detail, but we would like to acknowledge that in our first email to our applicants, not only do we invite them to schedule their pre-interview session, we also inform them to print a copy of their resume to bring with them. As a courtesy and out of respect for your time, we reached out to you regarding our interview cancellation as soon as we could. Unfortunately, yes, we notified you less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, but we wanted to be as considerate as possible, given the time constraint. We hope to continue to improve on our interview and hiring process and we are grateful for your honest opinions. We wish you the best in your future career endeavors.
