Interview
Interview was fine, but I have a feeling they leave out the truth just to lure people. I've heard this place is a nightmare sweatshop and I can see how people can fall into the trap, as management tries and convince you it's a fun job. Yes, designing stickers and paper is fun but not in the matter I hear it's done. Unrealistic deadlines, non-existant communication from the top down, and below average pay.
I've only heard stories of unhappy employees from this place which is a shame because they said it used to be a good place, but has gone downhill drastically since a few years ago.
Glad I saw the red flags beforehand.

Easy interview. Seemed pretty structured and everyone was friendly. Phone interview and then team interview. Not too hard and ended up getting hired. I presented a bit of work and answered just a few questions panel style.

Answers were beat around the bush in regard to the company. I'm sure it is a an ok place but from the outside it looks like there can be a lot of improvement (not a bad thing) Not having a direct answer when asking questions of the company and position but sort of a half answer was not great and shows perhaps though they lure people in. In fact the job description was different from when the interview took place. There was no regard to follow up after interview either. That says a lot about a company in my opinion. Glad I did not proceed with this. Based on research not many people stay here long and that in an of itself can be a red flag. The high turnover rate is unfortunate. I do hope the company is better for there own sake when it comes to recruiting and culture. Please do research and contact talk to former employees for more information regarding with with American Crafts to have better insight.
