Written Test- 50 Questions (25 Technical + 25 Quant.)
The written was easy with avg. quant. and basic questions from technical.
Shortlisting for interview on the basis of the written and the academic performance as well.
Interview comprises of 20-30 minutes technical and if you clear this interview then you have to face HR interview which will last for roughly 10-15 minutes.

HR interview:
It is taken by a panel consisting of 2-3 technical guys including the person who interviewed you and one HR manager.
It starts by introducing, your hobbies, why you wanna join the firm, what you want to be in future,what did you like in the company presentation or pre-placement talk etc...
Then they will ask some common puzzle questions like;
What are different uses of water bottle kept on the desk?
what are different ways of detecting a needle from a hay stack?
If you were an animal etc.... these questions can be easily found on internet.

Interview
Initial screening at a college career fair. Four straight interviews with different Applied Materials Employees, 1 hour each. Mix of technical and personal questions. Followed by a phone call with hiring manager. Got an offer. Whole process took about 2 weeks.
Interview panel consists of 5 memeber including hr. First they asked me to introduce myself then asked my favourite topic from mechanical engineering I said strength of material then they asked questions how to design pressure vessel which stress is more dominant while designing the vessel

Most of them was great, manager is really kind.
But, some member from another majors, and ask weird questions.
