I interviewed at Archer Specialist Recruitment (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
I interviewed for this company in immediately after graduating and while the initial two rounds of interviews were relatively normal the final round interview which I had onsite was absolutely psychotic. One of the interviewers had a conniption and was quick to correct me when I used the word job saying 'recruitment is a career and a way of life, not just a job'. There were two parts this final round interview, one of which involved a 1-2-1 interview with a recruitment manager who asked the most insanely personal questions. For example, she asked about my relationship with my parents (and continued to push to see if I had anything negative to say when I said it was great), Also as an exercise to test how I would respond in uncomfortable situations she required me to ask her any question I liked that made me feel uncomfortable. So bizarre. It was almost as if she considered herself a psychologist and wanted to dig deeper into people's pasts and other elements of their lives that have nothing to do with their capability for the role. When the question I asked wasn't uncomfortable or personal enough she made me ask her one that would make me 'even more uncomfortable'. Honestly the interview process gave major cult vibes. I have since gone on to work in HR for years in normal reputable companies and I can confirm that their hiring process is totally unacceptable and not normal. Wasn't offered the role in the end and after such a disturbing final round interview, I had no intentions of taking it anyway.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is your relationship like with your parents? Who do you live with? What is one thing your friends would say they don't like about you?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Archer Specialist Recruitment (Dublin, Dublin) in Aug 2021
Interview
The process consisted of two rounds of interviews. The first was very straight forward and was based around my cv, skills and basic questions. The interview was with 3 people and was more focused on the job. Overall a very positive experience.
