I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Astrix in Jun 2025
Interview
I went through several rounds. I was a referral from an existing employee, so I spoke with the hiring manager briefly and we talked about the role, which I then learned would be a hybrid of customer sucess and pre-sales. I was then assigned a technical screen task to have ready before the next call. A few days later, I met with the hiring manager again and we discussed the technical screening task and next steps. Later that week, I spoke with one of the members of the customer success team, and we talked about the day-to-day and the team. Then, I spoke with HR who repeatedly asked about my current salary. Then I spoke with the head of the solution/sales engineering team about the pre-sales aspects of the role.
A little after a week from my last interview, I got a call from HR telling me that they were not going to give me an offer with the following vague rationale, "Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be the right fit on this occasion."
Panel interview with behaviorial questions. Very straight forward and asked about general knowledge of area in field. Lasted about an hour and went over more information on what I had done previously
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Astrix (Champaign, IL) in Mar 2023
Interview
The role was a contract position on-site at Intertek. The representative from Astrix had provided a list of questions that the hiring manager would ask. The interview consisted mostly of STAR type questions and a few technical questions related to Chemistry. The site director, an HR representative and the HPLC manager were present during the interview.
