      Loan Operations Assistant Interview

      27 Jul 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Saint Louis, MO
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Avenica (Saint Louis, MO) in Jul 2012

      Interview

I applied to gradstaff on a Monday. I got an e-mail saying that they received my information that day. The next day a representative called me to talk about my resume. We talked for over an hour about my interests and what I wanted to do. I was completely changing careers and industries and had little knowledge of what I was qualified for with my background. They looked at my resume and basically restructured the entire thing. It was the most helpful thing and they provided excellent constructive criticism. I tweaked my resume and resubmitted it to them. They set up an interview for Friday to get a better grasp of what I was looking for. During the interview they asked several questions. They gave me feedback after I answered them to help me build my interviewing skills. The most important thing during these interviews is to be yourself. They want to know who you are so they can find the best place for you. I interviewed on a Friday and they called me on a Tuesday about a possible job. They didn't know all the information about the position but wanted to run it by me to see if I would be interested. They called me the next day about the opening with more details and to find out if I wanted to set up an interview with the company. They called me the next day to let me know they set up an interview for the following Monday. They give you unlimited resources to prepare for the interview and answer all your questions so you feel confident going in. I interviewed that Monday and was offered the job that afternoon. I asked Gradstaff going into the interview what happens if I didn't get the job. They responded that if I didn't they would keep looking and find me something else soon. That calmed any nervous feeling I had because I knew I would find something if not right now, in the near future.
