I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Averitt (Milwaukee, WI) in Mar 2011
Interview
Saw an ad in a local newspaper and applied online. Was called in less than a week to come in for an interview. The interview itself was short and straighforward. I met with the termial manager and talked mostly about my experience, why I was interested in working there, and my more longterm goals. The situation was dragged out, mostly I feel because of the necessity of correspondance between the local office and the corporate office in the South. After a few paper work discrepencies, I was finally brought in for drug test and physical. I was basically offered a job right away but didn't start for almost a month. At least at this location they don't have full time dock workers, but they're flexible and can get you decent hours.

I applied online. I interviewed at Averitt (Chattanooga, TN) in Aug 2016
Interview
Short and sweet. Asked about experience but wasn't necessary for the job. Did help however having forklift experience. Described the schedule and duties on dock which is very simple. Described the company and opportunities there as well as 20-30 plus employees that have worked there for over 25 years. Great place, people come and stay.

Awful instead of talking about the overall job they were to busy asking me about how could I have a family and work their part time not knowing I already had a full time job elsewhere
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Averitt in Oct 2014
Interview
Came in to the interview. There wasn't much questions asked since the screening was already done outside of the job. Went over the responsibilities and i had to drive to tennessee for orientation. They reimburse you for the orientation, but it was a lengthy drive.
