      Sales Interview

      30 Aug 2016
      Anonymous employee
      New York, NY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Avionos (New York, NY)

      Interview

I was reached out to via LinkedIn, which was followed up by an informal coffee interview/conversation for about an hour. It was a great way to learn more about the company - it's approach, culture, and goals - and become comfortable with the process. Next was an on-site interview that lasted 2 hours or so, affording me the opportunity to meet my future team members, bosses, and the company's principals. In doing so, I was able to get all of my questions answered and wrap up the interview process in an expedited manner. It's worth mentioning that Avionos was highly communiicative and responsive throughout the interview process, which is unfortunately not the case with all companies. Overall, it was one of the best processes I've been through as a candidate.

      Sales Interview

      3 Nov 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Avionos

      Interview

Interviewer sent me a quiz to my email before even doing a phone screen. Had a phone screen and the interviewer was very pushy. First question was “why do you want to work here?” It’s a phone screen. You tell me why I want to work there, don’t ask me. Said "we do favors to people by interviewing them". Interviews are a two-way street. It's not only finding a good fit for the company, but also that the company is a good fit for the candidate. Asked me personal questions on salary expectations and previous salary, and demanded a number. Would not move me forward without me giving the first number, as to which I refused. I did not schedule the second interview. Advice: don't think an interview is doing anyone a "favor". It allows you to be pushy and that's the completely wrong mindset and extremely unprofessional.
