After three interviews for a contract, temp position, I was ready to start and it seemed like the light was green to go. They gave the impression during each interview that the project requirements were well within my skillset and the calls were a mere formality. Then, after the last non-technical discussion with their former developer (who left for greener pastures), radio silence. I followed up with an email and got an immediate form rejection response. Looks like they were going to ghost me; very unprofessional, considering that I turned down other work this month after speaking with these clowns. Either their previous developer screwed me (not surprising, in this industry) or they were just dangling carrots in front of multiple developers.
