The recruiter was very enthusiastic about the company and took the time to explain the role and organization in detail, which created a strong first impression. There was a short delay between the initial conversation and the assessment due to a pre-planned holiday on my side, which the team accommodated. However, after I submitted the assessment by the agreed deadline, I was informed shortly afterwards that the position had already been filled. Since the assessment required a significant time investment, clearer communication about the hiring timeline or the urgency of the role would have been helpful. This would allow candidates to better evaluate how to prioritize the assignment. I also requested feedback on the assessment but unfortunately did not receive a response. Providing even brief feedback after a substantial task would further strengthen the candidate experience. Overall, the team was friendly and engaged, but greater transparency around timelines and follow-up communication would make the process feel more respectful of candidates’ time.
