BMI Research interview questions

I was interviewed by two senior analysts. They asked questions about my background, my interest in the position, my knowledge of macroeconomics and emerging markets. They wanted to see that I knew about the company and the industry it operates in. They asked technical questions specifically about the sector I had applied for.

Standard CV/Cover letter application followed by a written, untimed assessment. This involved writing 2 short reports to test general financial/ecomonomic/commodities knowledge. This was followed by a face to face with senior commodities analyst and head of commodities research via video conference (they couldn't set up a good call connection so sound was constantly cutting out during Q&As - other reviews have said the same). This was followed by a 45min written assessment - I was given a filthy laptop which decided to update during the assessment (I recieved no extra time). Overall, interview was a joke.
