Beckman tends to use agencies that interface with internal B-C HR for a lot of their hiring, so my first contact was with a rep from one of those agencies. This was a brief phone conversation which was short and straightforward; nothing technical or challenging. They just wanted to see if whatever good impression they got from my resume could be backed up over the phone. A follow up 1:1 interview was then scheduled within a week and I met with the Hiring Manager as well as the HR rep. This was easy-going and low pressure, and I had a very positive feeling about the interview. I did not hear back, though. I know there was an internal candidate vying for the position, so I can only assume that I lost out to this person.
