The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Belk (Gainesville, FL) in Aug 2009
Interview
Everyone that I talked to was really nice and very welcoming. The interview went smooth and it was easy to answer the questions. I applied for either a full-time or part-time positon. The problem I had with this interview is that I was told they only had a part-time position available, which was fine by me. However, one of the managers who interviewed me was very intimidating and kept asking me what assurance I could give them that I wasn't going to leave in two months because they were trying to cut down on employee turnover. This seemed really unnecessary to me for a part-time postion.

Question 1
What assurance can you give us that you won't leave when Thanksgiving hits? (This was in August)
I was a referral and had a brief discussion with the manager and got the job relatively easily. I think getting this job was one of the easier jobs I was able to obtain. However, this was back in 2010.

Question 1
They asked me what my availability would be since it was around the holiday season.
One Interview with the department manager for a sales position. Super short, simple, and to the point.
I received the offer same down and then had to schedule onboarding with Human Resources.
It was your basic questions. Went fine. Nothing too detailed but it was for a base position at the holidays. They were looking for anyone dependable with a car basically.
