It was brief and direct, what they were looking for and how their business operated. I did like the benefits. Ultimately I went with someone else because I didn't like that I had to charge $50k every quarter even in down years or after 3 missed quotas I would be let go, didn't matter if I was there 9 months or 5 years. So basically if I was the new guy I would get the least desirable shift, which means the least opportunity to do business, and have to upsell to customers...I don't like selling what isn't necessary, which is not to be confused with future proofing.
Had I been offered a better shift and pay that aligned with my experience, I don't think closing 50k per 3 months would have been hard at all... but overcharging customers is making sure I get the desperate customers and not the repeat word of mouth business... I'm selling my face when I enter homes, and the company is selling reputation, not just a service.
I politely declined, and have declined again offers over the phone, on principal.
I would be happy to learn if the business plan has shifted.
