A call with the hiring manager, a recruiter, and then a 5 hour in-office superday with back-to-back 45 minute meetings. This was great for most of the meetings, with kind and respectful team members, but woefully inadequate for the two meetings evaluating technical abilities. Much of those technical interviews were spent going over my resume line by line asking me about things like "what do you mean you reduced MTTR," talking about personal projects, and the business domain of different projects I've worked on over the years.
The role has been open for a quarter of a year now, despite the tremendous amount of overqualified candidates looking for work. After going through the full interview process I understand why.
