      Interview

so far i've had the phone interview, a recruiter called 4 hours after i applied online. you must apply online and answer 100s of questions, 50 of which are personality the following is my advice, as i have worked for best buy in the past and pretty much know and understand the ropes when it comes to the hiring process: Online questions were all personality questions. Best Buy seeks to hire out-going honest, cheerful, truthful, lawful, smart, positive, ambitious, careful, kind, open minded, and hard working people. so keep that in mind, when answering these questions. It is important that you have no problem with alerting loss prevention when you witness or suspect employee theft regardless if they are your own brother, or your best friend. keep this in mind when answering questions. Even the simple theft of a CD or a pen, is considered theft and is undesirable by most if not all corporations. Zero tolerance in this area guys trust me, theft is a huge problem in retail stores, especially from it's own employees, and especially for Best Buy, So don't mess around with this topic, it is very serious and can mean the difference between getting hired or not. Secondly Always remember to think about and answer key questions that most interviewers will ask. These questions are usually not easy, as most questions will require you to recall a certain event in your past, so get your thinking cap on, and hopefully you have reheressed a responce to this question. The manager may ask you to tell them your strentghs and confess your weekneses, start with your weekneses and end with your strengths, if possible, it's always good to end on a positive note. try to find only one thing that sets you apart, and gives you strength over other applicants. i.e. strong back round in merchandising, or customer service, very organized, energetic, enthusiastic, you are a people lover, love to make new freinds, always wanted to teach, very responsable, punctual, etc etc think of weeknesses that are good to have, and will benefit the company, i.e. work-aholic, overly optamistic, perfectionist, or maybe you tend to think to much before speak, and sometimes a delay in response can be noted, and it embarases you, and you see it as a weekness, it's hard for you to walk away from a project once you start it. you give people to much of your time, you occasionally take work too seriously, and you have to remind your self every now and then to have fun, maybe you talk to much, your friends say you talk to strangers too much, etc etc. lets see what else, Don't apply if you use drugs, and watch out for substances that can give you false positive, riddalin and adderall may show up as an amphetamine or a stimulant of some sort. google this for more info. see below for common questions they will ask you
