I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Albuquerque, NM) in Jun 2013
Interview
The interview process is quick and very easy going. You will have to get past a phone interview and then if all goes right, you will be asked for a 1 on 1. It took me about two weeks to get everything cleared.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Athens, GA) in Jan 2015
Interview
It was a 1:1 interview. The interviewer ask a series of questions and takes notes. Most likely it will be the manager that ask you questions. It is important to ask questions when the interview is over. I heard back within 3 days as to whether I got the position.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Best Buy (Tacoma, WA) in May 2014
Interview
1 phone interview, followed by a panel interview of 3 local GMs from the district. Approx 30 minutes long. Most, if not all of the questions were "describe a time when you..." Answers need to be 3 part. What the situation was, what you did, and what the benefit/profit gain to the company was as a result.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (San Antonio, TX) in Apr 2014
Interview
I had worked for Best Buy before as a Wireless Sales Consultant in a big box store for almost a year while in my final year of high school and enjoyed it very much. When I decided I was moving back to my original city I looked for employment opportunities with Best Buy and saw a Lead Sales Consultant job for a Stand Alone Best Buy Mobile store. I applied online and was called within 2 weeks; we set up a time for a phone interview then and after that set up an interview with the store's GM and the District Manager. 4 days later I received a call from the GM offering me the position.
