During the first and second rounds, I completed an engaging client project and presented strategic recommendations in detail to line managers for about an hour at their lovely office near Angel in London. The feedback at this stage was very positive, and the process felt thorough and fair.
When I met one of the Founders (Pedro) during the third stage, however, the tone of the interview shifted. Rather than focusing on my skills, experience, or background, I was asked several personal questions — including what my mother might say about me if he were invited round for dinner. I found this unusual and not particularly relevant to assessing my fit for the role, which left me questioning the professionalism of the process and ultimately prompted me to share this feedback. Be prepared!
