I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Binghamton University (Binghamton, NY) in May 2023
Interview
Virtual interview with the team consisted of typical questions (tell me about yourself and your interest in this position), followed by request for in-person half day session with prepared presentation on education abroad, and back-to-back interviews with supervisor, coworkers, and upper management. Very friendly team and positive experience.

Give a presentation on education abroad at Binghamton University.

Interview
The interview process began with a standard one-hour screening before advancing to an intensive, four-hour finalist round. This comprehensive itinerary required delivering a custom 20-minute presentation, participating in multiple sequential panel interviews, an open-forum QA session, and a campus tour. Throughout the marathon, the search committee indicated strong alignment and engagement, responding very positively to the presentation and openly discussing onboarding logistics for the two vacant allocations within the office. The team was also highly accommodating regarding scheduling while navigating the process from an international time zone. While certain complex situational prompts regarding nuanced student housing policies were less straightforward to navigate during the panel, the ultimate conclusion of the search lacked basic professional equity. After investing days of preparation and a half-day of active evaluation, communication ceased completely until a generic, automated "do-not-reply" HR system rejection was issued weeks later. When an administrative search requires finalists to deliver formal presentations and dedicate four continuous hours to intensive panels, the institution should provide a direct, personalized follow-up from the hiring manager or search chair rather than relying on automated portal notices.
