The process took about 1 week. I was contacted by their HR by email and immediately scheduled an interview with the next interviewer. I thought it was a bit weird, did not want to make an initial call and talk about background, goals, compensation and the normal stuff but I did not care so much as talking with the interviewer/manager as soon as possible, speeds up the process. The call with the interviewer/manager was nice but also disappointing in some ways. First of all, I do my research on the interviewers before any call to be prepared with questions. The call covered my background, what I am looking for, my experience in software architecture, The interviewer asked me questions about my software scalability skills which is something that I have been doing in recent years. The questions were easy to answer as I have proven track record of using the technologies that they use and/or plan to use. I honestly thought I was a good fit both with technical and soft skills. I did ask questions about their successful hires and the interviewer was all over the place not answering my question but said is happy of a co-worker not leaving and having picked him over other good candidates, I mean not only that did not answer my question but it showed the interviewer is a newly at the job and does not have experience hiring people. When it comes to the technical aspect as I mentioned before, I do a very good job researching about the job, employees, manager and I get a sense of their skill level. I think the interviewer also lacks Technical experience to actually assess my skills, maybe she felt intimidated by my answers who knows, in the end, really disappointing the HR gave me later the feedback " the interviewer/manager needs someone with experience in scalability and search" - till know I have no idea what that means.
