I was basically offered a position during the interview. The lady performing the interview from Ocean House Management seemed very interested in my qualifications and said she would have the Manager (of the department she thought I'd be a best fit for) contact me later that week. At the end of the interview she asked if I had any further questions and let me know that I could feel free to email her if I thought of anything. She also said she would get back to me regarding whether or not I would receive an additional "resort fee" as part of my wages there. Later that week I had not heard from her and I wrote a nice follow up email to her, asking some questions regarding benefits and inquired about the resort fee. Then out of the blue, without responding regarding the resort fee, she emailed me saying that there was nothing suitable for me at that time. She was clearly lying and I think it was because they were only offering $11/hr and I had requested (and expected) a higher rate for a 5 star resort along with my level of experience. She did not offer any further explanation even after I responded with a kind inquiry for further feedback. Overall the Ocean House Management the Blantyre hired to oversee the career fair was rather snobbish and I felt, after this kind of response, that I would never want to work for such a company or these kind of people who are clearly unkind and trying to be cheap in hiring top notch quality staff, when they clearly have a lot of money.
