I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Jan 2018
Interview
Step 1: Application online.
Step 2: Video Interview: 10 pre-recorded questions (motivational questions, Bloomberg’s products & clients, basic financial knowledge) – quite awkward.
Step 3: Team Leader Interview (1 from Analytics and 1 from Sales): self-introduction, why Bloomberg? situational questions, sales scenarios, problem solving, dealing with complaints) – pretty intense and felt a bit under pressure, but at least interviewers were quite nice.
Step 4: Manager Interview (1 from Analytics and 1 from Sales) in London: self-introduction, why Bloomberg? role exercises, situational questions) – nice interviewers, good feedback.
Step 5: European Head of Analytics: self-introduction, why Bloomberg?, do you have any other applications open? What difficulties do you think you’ll encounter on the job? – friendly interviewer.
The recruiting process started at the end of November and finished at the end of January. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Jun 2024
Interview
6 month interview cycle so it takes a while to actually talk to managers. The trader was not the nicest and would laugh after interviews. Overall a really long process
