      Application

I interviewed at Blueground in Mar 2026

      Interview

This was my second time applying for a role at Blueground. The first time, for an in-office position in São Paulo, I was interviewed by two professionals who I believe were the recruiter and possibly the field manager. They maintained a professional and friendly tone, even though I was eventually ghosted. This second experience, however, was quite different. The interviewer, a talent acquisition specialist based in Greece, joined the call a few minutes late and, from the beginning, communicated in a way that felt condescending and dismissive. I initially joined the interview from my cellphone using noise-canceling earphones. At the start of the call, she immediately pointed out an echo in my audio in an abrupt manner, without giving me much time to explain or adjust. She seemed noticeably uneasy about it. I tried to adapt by speaking closer to the microphone and asked if the audio had improved, but she responded briefly that it had not and told me to remove the earphones. I then suggested leaving and rejoining the call, which I did from my laptop. After that, the tone of the interaction remained the same. While she explained the company and the role, her delivery and non-verbal cues felt disengaged. Overall, it felt one-sided. I barely had a chance to share my background before being cut off, which made the interaction feel rushed. Fortunately, I was able to keep my cool and stay professional, but the whole experience left me really uncomfortable. I don’t think I’ll apply to Blueground again, but I wanted to share honest feedback, as I value transparency.
