They first did a background check and I had to send relevant materials for this. They then arranged an interview with me over the phone. The first part of this interview was conducted in Chinese for fit; the second part of this interview was conducted in English. They valued my English skills a lot due to the presence of many international delegates at this Forum. I also talked about my previous experiences organizing panels, speaker events, small-sized forums, and my translating abilities. There weren't technical questions at all. After the short interview, they emailed me the result and booked the necessary travel plans for me to go to Hainan and start preparing for the Forum a week in advance of the starting date for the forum. My accommodations there were pleasant.
