The process was explained up front. I went through six video call interviews. In addition, I spent about a week of my evenings coding a program for evaluation. I though all of the interviews went well. After the final interview, I had to follow-up to be told I wouldn't get an offer because “being at the same organization for quite some time... would be a challenge here in terms of pivoting quickly”. They considered my tenure at my current job a detriment, which is their choice to make. Why it took four weeks and six interviews, when that information is on the first document I submitted, is beyond my understanding.
