I applied on Craigslist and was contacted by the Operations Manager the next day. I had a lot of trouble hearing the interviewer and where he was calling from because he was so low-energy and wasn't engaging on the phone. He conducted a basic phone screen in regards to my experience in HR. He also gave me some background on his company, but I had a hard time hearing what he was saying. He said they needed someone with high energy and wasn't afraid to pick up the phone to help with recruiting, which I can totally understand why after talking to him. I was then asked to go in for an interview, but after the call with him, still had no idea what the company was about. I cancelled the interview later. When posting a job ad to Craigslist, it is helpful to at least list the industry. I wouldn't have applied if I knew since industry didn't appeal to me.
