All virtual interviews using Lark app. First interview the HR partner went MIA without explaining and have to reschedule. Went through first round but received an autogenerated email to say I was rejected, then being asked to go for second round with another HR partner asking about the same question. Third round interview is with the peer colleague asking irrelevant questions and halfway through was asked to switch to mandarin.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ByteDance (Ciudad de Mexico) in May 2025
Interview
The interview with the line manager was a good experience — engaging and insightful. However, the second round with the next-level interviewer felt impersonal and more like a procedural step than a genuine conversation. It seemed there was little interest or engagement from their side. Didn't get real feedback after that.
