In person interview with a tour of the facility grounds. Meet and greet with operations manager and department job leads. If you have to be flown in from out of state they will do that as well.

Interview
Tried to hire on to sell geosynthetic clay liners (GCL) to the mining industry for them in western US. It was important to them that the incumbent to not hear that they were looking for a new candidate. They flew me to Chicago and gave me $25 on a gift card for food for the 2-day experience. It was not nearly enough.
Wrote a thank you letter for their hospitality.
Never heard from them again. Apparently I offended them inadvertently because there is not a worse way to treat a candidate.
